May López

Biography

Born in Argentina and raised in Catalonia, I’ve been calling London home for the past 12 years. My background weaves together a love for performance, language, and deep emotional exploration. I trained in musical theatre in Barcelona, then dove into the Meisner technique and earned a BA in Philosophy in London—a path shaped by my ongoing search for honesty and emotional truth.
I speak Spanish, English, and Catalan fluently, and I’m currently learning French and German. I’m a confident singer and a bit of a guitar strummer, and I’m always looking for more ways to bring music into my work. Outside of performance, I’ve been teaching myself how to read tarot and experiment with character-driven hairstyles—because yes, even a hairdo can tell a story.
Creatively, I dream of writing and performing my own play at the Edinburgh Fringe, and I feel a director slowly waking up inside me. I’m especially passionate about multilingual, multicultural storytelling—projects that reflect the layered realities of cities like London and Barcelona.
Everything I do—whether it’s acting, singing, studying, or simply observing the world—comes from a desire to connect with others through truth, emotion, and lived experience
