Oriol Castro-Herero

Biography

Oriol Castro Herrero is an actor and filmmaker born and raised in Barcelona. His passion for acting has been with him since childhood. What was once endearing to his parents soon became a concern, until his older sister enrolled him in an acting school. They feared his academic performance would suffer during his teenage years because of this, and they were right. Even after starting a degree in English Studies, his obsession with acting, theater, and cinema never faded. He joined the university’s theater group, started his own film projects, and enrolled in an MA in Screenwriting. After years of amateur theater and experimental cinema, he became an acting teacher… in English. So, ultimately, the degree served its purpose. More than five years later, he continues to teach at various renowned drama studios in Barcelona, alongside his professional work as an actor in film, TV, and theater. He also premieres his own theatrical and cinematic work from time to time. So, undoubtedly, whatever it takes, he will always pursue this artistic path.
